ActiBursar
Your books, coded every month. Nothing posts until you approve it.
ActiBursar reads your QuickBooks Online books, stages entries and bank-feed fixes, and waits for a signed-in human to approve each one, with an audit trail your CPA can export.
Built for: Companies on QuickBooks Online, and the bookkeepers who run their books.
Routine coding, handled
Claude reads your QuickBooks Online books, codes vendor bills, categorizes bank-feed items, and prepares reclassification and journal entries for you.
You approve every entry
Each proposal waits for your own signed-in click. Above a dollar amount you choose, a second approver has to sign off too.
An audit trail that holds up
Every tool call and approval lands in an append-only, hash-chained log. Export it as a PDF for any date range and hand it to your CPA.
Claude prepares. You decide.
Claude stages each change as a proposal, and staging changes nothing in QuickBooks. In the approval app, STACEY shows you a plain-English summary and a before-and-after diff, explains why the entry was coded that way, and answers your questions. The approval is always your click, never a chat message.
A bank feed that cleans itself up
You keep QuickBooks' own bank feed. One auto-add rule drops new items into a holding account, and Claude reclassifies each one to the right account, vendor and class. It flags expenses that look like payments of a bill you already entered, and it pairs transfers between your connected accounts so the money is counted once.
Guardrails on every write
Journal entries must balance. The closing date is checked before a proposal is staged and again before it posts. A proposal won't post if it was changed after approval, is missing a required second approval, or falls in a closed period, and a retry can't create a duplicate. Nothing is ever deleted: a mistake is voided, so the trail survives.
One account, every company you keep books for
Connect several QuickBooks Online companies to one ActiBursar account, each with its own approval rules and its own audit trail. Your outside accountant gets a read-only login to review proposals and export the audit report. General bill payments, deposits and transfers are coming next.
Questions
Before you start
What is ActiBursar?
ActiBursar lets Claude act as your bookkeeper in QuickBooks Online. Claude reads the books, prepares entries and reclassifies bank-feed transactions, and nothing posts until a person approves it.
Can the AI post to my books on its own?
No. Claude can never approve. Every write is staged as a proposal, and it posts only after a signed-in person approves it and the proposal still matches what was approved. ActiBursar also never deletes a transaction; it voids instead, so the audit trail survives.
Does it work with my accounting software?
ActiBursar is built for QuickBooks Online. It works with QuickBooks' own bank feed through one auto-add rule you set up during onboarding, and you work with it through Claude, where ActiBursar is added as a connector.
Is my financial data safe?
It's designed so it will be. Each company's data will be isolated, so one company can never see another's, and your QuickBooks connection token will be stored encrypted, with the key held outside the database, never returned or logged.
